Meridian, Washington is near of Forks, Washington where it faces the Pacific Ocean. Facing the south of Forks, about 4 hours away to be exact. The beaches are cold during the winter but the brave solders that are known, as the local surfers will throw themselves towards it. It is not that far of a drive (maybe 10 hours, 14- depending) of Seattle, Washington but it’s closer to Tacoma.
It’s an upcoming town, known for it’s fresh fishing; it’s granola like way of living. Although there is a Starbucks, a Wal-mart is kind of hard to find. Most people find it the perfect place to raise kids.
But don’t think it’s exactly ‘small town’. Meridian is known for it’s posh record shops (locally known Pet Sounds which has been around for years) and the up and coming cleverly known ‘The Record Shop’. Jitterbug the local coffee shop that rivals Starbucks- for if you’re in Washington, there has to be one. It holds a variety of shops, mostly locally owned. The community as a whole stands firm and very apart of Washington. But as any up and coming town it’s had a boom of youngsters, either moving across the country to discover the place or born and rose near or in Meridian.
Some reasons for Washington not having state taxes taken out of checks, for better education system and public health-care. Other can be because it accepts everyone or any background or culture.
It’s one of those places that if you wanted to reinvent yourself or discover who you are, it’s the place to come.

: Ed didn't feel like eating really he hadn't felt like himself since the show really. He was still confused nor did he check his voicemail mail that night when he got home. He spent it helping Nick get Monica back to her apartment and once he knew Nick could take care of her he just let him do that. He told Monica feel free to stay in touch when she wanted to play nice only. But stay there with her that night would of been weird and hard at the same time. He spent the rest of the night hanging out with the guys from the band getting wasted and just left his phone off.
Ed didn't turn his phone on for three days actually and he spend it hanging around his parents and carefully avoiding all of the right people at school. Then finally he checked his phone and was suprised to hear that Wade called him telling him to ingore everything that Gen had said to her. I guess thats who she found comfort in during her ordeal and that struck him as odd. Then there was a voicemail from her asking him to call. Once simple voicemail..what was he expecting to find in his phone anyway. She broke up with him after all, why she did he just didn't understand at all. He turned off his phone right after he checked his stuff. He had just been spending time with his band and getting too drunk while they were out, usually picking a fight with someone. It was just how Ed handeled his problems really. It wasn't a good way but that's just who he was.
Today at school Ed wanted to sit outside he didn't feel like eating once again he saw a table in the far corner underneath the tree that he often liked to sit at. Once at the table Ed sat down and pulled out his notebook as he started to write. He had been writing in for weeks it felt like but nothing that seemed like really good material, eventhough it was, he just wasn't happy with anything right now. :

Ed hadn't called so she did the only thing she could, she gave him his space. It was hard, she missed him. Wade tried to keep her happy, that's what best friends were for right? As hard as he tried though she was miserable. To distract herself she had wrapped herself completely in her diving. If the girl was dedicated before now she was obsessed. She was at the pool or in the gym diving every free moment that she had, so much so that even her mother was starting to worry about her.
Gen had assured her there was nothing to worry about but Mrs. Baptiste was not buying it. She knew there were problems with Gen and Ed, and though Gen hadn't said it she knew it had something to do with Milo. It seemed everything over the past 6 months or so that went wrong for Gen revolved around Milo. She felt bad for her daughter but understood that heartbreaks were a part of growing up and there was nothing she could really do. Gen would have to work this out on her own.
And Gen would work it out. She hadn't spoken to Milo since the call for his birthday and she had no intention to. Ed on the other had she was tired of waiting for. He had enough time to get himself together so when she saw him sitting alone at lunch, she took it as a sign it was time for her to break their silence. She took a deep breath and drew herself up before walking towards his table and sitting down. There were several ways this could go and she had tried to play each scenerio out in her mind just to be prepared.
"Do you completely hate me?" It was not how she had planned on starting the conversation however that was how it started.

: Ed was suffering from a hang over and sitting under the tree was helping his headache some mainly because it was quiet. As Ed was drawing in his notebook a heart with arrows coming out of it. Her voice traveled into her ears. He didn't hear her walk up because simply he wasn't paying attention but when he spoke it made sense. And her first words only got on his nerves that was some way to start a conversation. Even when they hadn't spoken for a quick minute and last time he talked to her she broke up with him. Ed looked up to her and didn't remove his shades :

She bit her lower lip glancing down at what he was drawing and then back at him. "You didn't call so I was giving you space," she admitted. It wasn't a game and it never occurred to her that he might think it was. She wasn't where to go next, with Milo it had been a constant fight. He would have had an mean remark as soon as she showed her face but Ed was different and she honestly didn't know what to do. So she did all she could think of...she dove right in.
"I miss you. I hoped you would call and I kept trying to tell myself you would when you were ready but..." she shrugged. "You haven't so here I am. Ready or not. We aren't suppose to avoid each other. Not unless..." she paused tilting her head a little. She just wanted him to look at her but he wouldn't. "unless we aren't going to be together anymore." There she had said it. If he was done with her she wouldn't blame him.

: Ed listened to Gwen as he just raised a brow behind his shades. As of right now he was a lost for words. her last statement confused him because last he remembered everything she broke up with him. He placed his pen down and pushed his shades on the top of his head. His eyes were slightly blood shot from him drinking with the band last night. That was something that he had been doing a lot of lately. :
"To be honest Gwen I kept my phone off for awhile after that night.I've just been keeping to myself. Getting a voicemail from Wade telling me to try and ingore everything you said was a little odd but i know he's like your bestfriend. I'll have to admit though i'm really confused right now because you talk about avoiding each other but yet you broke up with me? Didn't you?"
: he wasn't about to tell her that he had been out drinking ever since then and punching walls. There were some scabs on his knuckles as proof of that but he wasn't tell her these things. Ed just felt like there was something really wong with him. :

She frowned. It was exactly what she feared it was. he thought she had broken up with him. She brushed her hair back from her eyes and tucked it behind her ears. She took a deep breath. "Look Wade is like my brother and I know it might seem odd to you for him to call you but really he was just trying to help."
She twirled a strand of hair around her finger nervously. "I'm sorry for what happened Ed." She watched him closely. "Things were said differently than I meant them. I wasn't breaking up with you."
Her eyes never left him. There were tell tell signs of what he had been doing since they were apart but she didn't say anything. She had been destructive since then in her own way. "You're good to me Ed. It's something I'm not use to and that wasn't fair to you. It wasn't fair to us. I don't expect you to forgive me and if you're done with me I understand but I need my friend Ed back."

: Ed was now confused more than he usually was about the whole situation with her words. His hands rubbed his face slightly as he processed what she was saying. A small sigh came out of him. When he looked back to her a face of slight confusion:
"Soo your saying you didn't break up with me? If you didn't then what did you mean by you couldn't handle this anymore?"

She bit at her lower lip and thought before speaking. She took a deep breath. "I meant myself. I was sorta not taking my meds." She wrinkled her nose trying to play off her embarrassment. "I didn't mean us. I meant the way I was being about us." She reached out then to touch him lightly placing her hand on his. "Ed you're good to me, you care about me. I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say."
