WELCOME
Welcome to Meridian!

Meridian, Washington is near of Forks, Washington where it faces the Pacific Ocean. Facing the south of Forks, about 4 hours away to be exact. The beaches are cold during the winter but the brave solders that are known, as the local surfers will throw themselves towards it. It is not that far of a drive (maybe 10 hours, 14- depending) of Seattle, Washington but it’s closer to Tacoma.

It’s an upcoming town, known for it’s fresh fishing; it’s granola like way of living. Although there is a Starbucks, a Wal-mart is kind of hard to find. Most people find it the perfect place to raise kids.

But don’t think it’s exactly ‘small town’. Meridian is known for it’s posh record shops (locally known Pet Sounds which has been around for years) and the up and coming cleverly known ‘The Record Shop’. Jitterbug the local coffee shop that rivals Starbucks- for if you’re in Washington, there has to be one. It holds a variety of shops, mostly locally owned. The community as a whole stands firm and very apart of Washington. But as any up and coming town it’s had a boom of youngsters, either moving across the country to discover the place or born and rose near or in Meridian.

Some reasons for Washington not having state taxes taken out of checks, for better education system and public health-care. Other can be because it accepts everyone or any background or culture.
It’s one of those places that if you wanted to reinvent yourself or discover who you are, it’s the place to come.

WHO: Come one come all
WHERE: Hallway
WHEN: September 15th

Travis stood at his locker looking very focused, had you stood near him you would here him mumbling numbers to himself, he had forgotten his locker combination. Travis had this little problem remembering codes and numbers for things, bank accounts, phone numbers and his locker combination, he had it written down on his hand for just such an occasion but the last to numbers where smudged beyond recognition "2378, nope, 2379, nope, 2380, oh wait was that an 8.....damn....2801, nope, 2802." He felt like just ripping the lock off, but unfortunately he had already tried and failed, but felt kind of glad his locker wasn't easy to get into.

Searching the depths of his mind he tried to remember the combination, he had read it from a little piece of paper everyday since he got here except when he lost it which is where he used his hand, something had to be lingering in his mind, the Janitor or somebody might be able to help, but Travis barely knew anyone, and he was kinda shy, "Ahh screw it, damn lock" how long could it be before he guessed right.

She was unsure if she should be walking the halls of Meridian High so freely considering past morning she had seen Mattox in all his glory. There was a habit that she would see him again and most likely lose all her cool. Sarah stopped to look at Travis who was struggling with his locker. The brown eyed girl gave the young man a strange look as she approached him with her arms wrapped around her books. Her long dark brown hair was divided within two pony tails, all her hair pulled away from her face and her bangs were cut now to avoid getting in her eyes. Over all she looked nice, wearing a dark brown short skirt with black tights Sarah had on a 1970’s light blue lacoste cardigan with a plunging neckline over the white button down shirt. It was kind of amusing to watch her style range but Sarah was very sell dressed just odd compared to the rest of the high school clichés. Arden and Sarah would search through secondhand store not out of wanting to be cool rather because Arden didn’t have the spare money and Sarah’s parents really didn’t giver her an allowance to survive on. Sarah kind of had to work for her money, funny, huh?

Tilting her head she leaned her body against the locker besides his, scrunching her nose as she watched him there was amusement upon her face as she placed her weight on one leg, the other foot stood on it’s toe as she leaned into him.

“Dove, I don’t think the lock did anything to you, now did it?” she said to offer him a small grin.

Travis smiled in return then put on a fake angry face "It wont do what I want it to do," he offered his hand to Sarah in a hope she could read it "You got any idea what number that is." He felt kind of silly but it was over something not that important, these locks where kind of sucky, worst comes to worst a janitor can break it off or something.

She offered a half smile as she moved over tilting her head to the side to read his hand. “Ah, long life line here” she said jokingly as her fingertips grazed her hand with a chuckle on her lips. It was a lame joke but she smiled anyways. Tilting her head to the other side she studied his hand.

“Try…2376” she said unsure as she looked at his hand to wrinkle her nose. She leaned in close and her hair brushed against his arm as she did. Sarah leaned her body casually against him as she turned her head to him. “Getting your hands all smudged, geesh, dove.”

Dropping his hand Sarah slid within the space between him and his locker to place the locker back to ‘0’ pressing it down hard to make sure it recognize it. She leaned her head in turning in as if pretending to listen to the clicks. “Two…” she said very slowly to turn it. “3 to the right…”

She giggled a bit taking her time to see when Travis would lose his patience.

Travis smiled for a second, though he did have feelings for Sarah he they didn't bother him when he was actually with her, he figured it was just him being weird. Smiling at her he gave a sarcastic look, "Wow, my friend Sarah, by day a stunning musician, but by night, master safe cracker, seriously though if that works it would be really cool," leaning in he pretended to listen as well "Sarah, I don't hear anything."

Sarah kept turning the dial of the lock to hear it click and she hit it with her fist onto the very same dial and it opened. “Ha!” she declared in victory to the thing as she turned her head to look at him. “And I’m not stunning or pretty, to hush.” Sarah had placed her books to balance standing up on her thigh as she pressed her knee against the metal of the locker. Collecting the books she held them within her arms as if like a favored item but really she just knew she shouldn’t be going to class without them.

Tightly smiling she slipped to the side to offer him to investigate his recently opened locker with her hand directing him towards him. Standing to the side Sarah’s eyes wondered over the halls wondering if a certain someone had found a decent enough reason to come to class, more likely he hadn’t. Apart of her was relieved he hadn’t after the awkward encounter along with Tim.

“So, any big plans this weekend?” she asked deciding it was best to distract herself with something else instead of thinking of her dear and desperate Mattox Cole. She bared a grin to show some kind of happiness along her face.

"You know I was kidding about the safecracking thing, then you go and actually crack it, I mean, wow, I was not expecting that," Travis reached into his locker and pulled out a pair of sunglasses, putting them into his pocket he closed up his locker again and turned to Sarah smiling "I was planning on sleeping next class, hence the eyewear."

Travis didnt really like to plan things, his plans either sucked or went wrong, "Sarah, you know my social world pretty much revolves around you, if I have plans, chances are you already know. What about you, you planning any bank raids, can I come, I have a ski mask and a thing that kind of looks like a gun, from a distance," Travis flashed Sarah a cheesy grin as he began walking backwards down the hallway, "You comin?"

She reached out to his sunglasses and placed it over her eyes with a grin on her face was she pushed it up against the bridge of her nose. “How do I look, dove?” she asked with a slight chuckle.

Crossing her arms holding her books tightly her chest she tapped her foot into the floor to the beat of a Blues Brother song to then return back to reality. It was her time with Travis and her friends Sarah turned a little goofy and a little funny. She followed Travis down the hall walking straight forward, looking over his shoulder to make sure she didn’t bump into anyone. Placing her one hand over his shoulder he avoided him from a swinging open door, while the others held the books to her chest.

“Dove, you need to be whole for the weekend. Remember that.” She said to nod her head, the sunglasses sliding down her nose as she did so.

Travis reached out and pushed the glasses back up, giving a smile to Sarah he laughed "You saved me, my hero." The way Travis and Sarah acted with each other may make them look slightly odd but it seemed perfectly normal to Travis, he didn't have a lot of experience to go on but they where laughing, things cant be bad if your laughing.

"So what you planning for the weekend, apart from the bank raids and criminal fun."
Sarah usually had pretty good ideas, on the otherhand, Travis wasn't big on planning, it just never works when he does things, well most of the time anyway.

“Usually filling up space at The Doors and homework. Nothing extraordinary.” She remarked lamely to shrug her shoulders, fully admitting and acknowledging it was indeed not a great deal of fun as some believed it would be. She had smiled when he placed the sunglasses back on her nose as she let go of his shoulder. Sarah gently wrapped on his wrist forcing him to turn and walk no longer backwards. She was still holding her books on one hand.

“Got sometime before the weekend comes before I got anything set up.” She leaned in gently to him to bump her shoulder into his with a soft chuckle escaping her lips. That smiles bearing on her face forgetting of the awkward moment between Mattox, Tim and herself the day before. The whole entire day Sarah had seemed pale and awkward with the thoughts in her head.

But now she was better, she turned her head to him to press her lips together as if about to mimic into blowing a kiss but instead hesitated and instead she stuck her tongue out at him making a funny face.

Travis knew when Sarah wasn't her usual self, something was on her mind, but he also knew that it was nothing major, "Tell you what, what do you say we go out somewhere this weekend, to the movies or for a bite to eat or something, I will let you pick the place and it will be on me, like a date, only not a date, but you know, like one."

He had set out trying to do something nice for Sarah, yet once again, he ended with his weirdness.

“Like one but not one?” furrowing her eyebrows she pressed her lips together to push them out as she looked at him. “Makes total sense.”

Placing her hands on her hips she followed him down the hall to pause as she looked around. “Wait, what class are you going to? Because I do not think we’re in the same classes” she said to give him an odd look through the veiled eyes since she was still wearing his sunglasses. Sarah moved the books to the top of her head to look at the number of the classrooms around him. Unsure if either he was lost or she was.
