Meridian, Washington is near of Forks, Washington where it faces the Pacific Ocean. Facing the south of Forks, about 4 hours away to be exact. The beaches are cold during the winter but the brave solders that are known, as the local surfers will throw themselves towards it. It is not that far of a drive (maybe 10 hours, 14- depending) of Seattle, Washington but it’s closer to Tacoma.
It’s an upcoming town, known for it’s fresh fishing; it’s granola like way of living. Although there is a Starbucks, a Wal-mart is kind of hard to find. Most people find it the perfect place to raise kids.
But don’t think it’s exactly ‘small town’. Meridian is known for it’s posh record shops (locally known Pet Sounds which has been around for years) and the up and coming cleverly known ‘The Record Shop’. Jitterbug the local coffee shop that rivals Starbucks- for if you’re in Washington, there has to be one. It holds a variety of shops, mostly locally owned. The community as a whole stands firm and very apart of Washington. But as any up and coming town it’s had a boom of youngsters, either moving across the country to discover the place or born and rose near or in Meridian.
Some reasons for Washington not having state taxes taken out of checks, for better education system and public health-care. Other can be because it accepts everyone or any background or culture.
It’s one of those places that if you wanted to reinvent yourself or discover who you are, it’s the place to come.

1) Anyone can join, as long as the rules are followed and biographies and play go along with the information that's been laid out for the RPG.
2) Listen to moderators. If we don't like something, it will be said in a private message and the post infringing will have to be either changed or deleted. If there is a problem with this, don't broadcast it. It will be reviewed and a compromise will be made.
3) No ultra violence. This means gore with gross details. This goes for sexual violence as well. Don't be a sick puppy. Think of this RP would be considered a rated "R".
4) Misuse of the OOC board will not be tolerated. Personal attacks, by anyone participating in the RP are strictly prohibited. If this occurs your IP will be banned from the message board for a limited amount of time to an indefinite amount of time.
5) Biographies have to be decently detailed. No one liners for the important stuff.
6) If you want something to happen that affects everyone, consult one of the moderators who will give you the ok or not. This is important so that the main storyline won't be compromised. As well, players are in charge of their own personal storylines and if you are playing in this RP your character will be affected by events that affect the main storyline. Like if Triple Play blows up. Now we all know that can happen from time to time.
7) Follow the rules of dynamic time in order to keep things straight. It's not that complicated.
8) Sorry, but posts have to be at least 1 paragraph long.
9) If you are going to be away for an amount of time or if you need a break, please say so in the OOC board. This lets us know that you are still active.
10) NO ABUSE OF PREGNANCIES! Not every girl in a damn school becomes a teen mom! If we see you going about this trend, then you will be smacked and given proper statistics!! If you insist upon your character having a child, she must be graduated from high school. We make NO EXCEPTIONS.
11) You will need the approval of at least 1 of the moderators before you can start posting!
12) If you make multiple characters, then you must play all of those characters or at the very least be posting with the first character you signed up with. If you tire of one, either delete them or put them up in the OPEN CHARACTER section. Please see this link for more information.
1) Date your posts. There will be a calendar soon so you'll know what date goes with which day of the week. Go back and edit, date your posts.
2) If you have a formatting style for profiles you don't want someone to copy, (or if you don't mind people copying but want credit for it), say so at the bottom of that post.
1) The girl rule has been lifted in replacement of the 4 character per person rule. Like it says in the post Ari laid out, we're not forcing people to play boys, but girls have to be restrained in their numbers. Also, if any admin sees that you don't even post for the characters you already have and want another, well you'll be asked to wait until your posting becomes more frequent with that character. If you want 4 characters, you gotta play them.
2) Don't make a character login BEFORE you submit your character. We prefer a person having an OOC login when they submit and then creating a separate character login when their biography is approved. OOC accounts are important so that we can PM you about your characters or any other details we might have to give you if we can't reach you any other way.
3) Make sure you have your character signed up for things that would be applicable to them. Classes are listed in like their general names. For example art is simply art, because declassifying it into Digital Art, Painting, Drawing, is a little too complicated. Consider Art to encompass all of those aspects. This is a small town after all. I'm organizing it by 'year' and 'semester'. Year 1 being the first 'year' in the RP we've played. Semester 1 is the first semester going from "Sept to December" RP time. Semester 2 starts in "January" of RP time. Then you will have to re-sign your classes for the next semester.
4) Please make sure that your characters avatars addresses are listed in the Avatar Code listing. This helps greatly for people who need to grab an avatar for a joint post or to update their relationship and/or student profiles. The organization stuff is important because it allows for easy access to information so you don't have to go about asking who's in who's class, or who is in which group and adds to the RP, so its important that you sign up.
5) For people making college students or who have college students: As for classes, groups, you have to fend for yourself for the moment. Since Meridian is still new, the focus is mainly on the HS aspect until it evolves over time as the characters get older. I don't want this to branch out into two RPS right before we even get started with the first one.
