Meridian, Washington is near of Forks, Washington where it faces the Pacific Ocean. Facing the south of Forks, about 4 hours away to be exact. The beaches are cold during the winter but the brave solders that are known, as the local surfers will throw themselves towards it. It is not that far of a drive (maybe 10 hours, 14- depending) of Seattle, Washington but it’s closer to Tacoma.
It’s an upcoming town, known for it’s fresh fishing; it’s granola like way of living. Although there is a Starbucks, a Wal-mart is kind of hard to find. Most people find it the perfect place to raise kids.
But don’t think it’s exactly ‘small town’. Meridian is known for it’s posh record shops (locally known Pet Sounds which has been around for years) and the up and coming cleverly known ‘The Record Shop’. Jitterbug the local coffee shop that rivals Starbucks- for if you’re in Washington, there has to be one. It holds a variety of shops, mostly locally owned. The community as a whole stands firm and very apart of Washington. But as any up and coming town it’s had a boom of youngsters, either moving across the country to discover the place or born and rose near or in Meridian.
Some reasons for Washington not having state taxes taken out of checks, for better education system and public health-care. Other can be because it accepts everyone or any background or culture.
It’s one of those places that if you wanted to reinvent yourself or discover who you are, it’s the place to come.

Signatures To have a signature on the end of your posts (for some its just for looks, others so they don't have to continually post their character's picture over and over again), click on Profile, Modify Profile, then scroll down to the signature box. In this field, you have to use UBBC html, which is the square brackets [ ] (See Below). Avatars To add a personal avatar for your character, select Profile, Modify Profile, then scroll down to Avatar URL and paste the image address for your avatar. Underneath Avatar URL, there is Avatar Height and Width, so that you can adjust it to the height and width of your picture. It can't be more than 100 x 100 pixels.
Personal Text To have a little quote put underneath your avatar, search for the Personal Text field. This is in Profile, Modify Profile, then scroll down to personal text. Color Coding and Cliques When creating a character profile, only the administrator can color code you're character's grade, and put a small 'tag' or 'label' underneath their name for their clique. Please PM admin for the tag, but eventually the admin will color code your character to their affinity.
UBBC (Universal Bulletin Board Code) This board uses UBBC code, which isn't so different from HTML except that there are brackets. Luckaly, there is the "Add Tags" feature above posts for people to use. Here however are a few code tags that some people might not be familiar with. Code tag (the button above that has the #): This code allows you to post UBBC code without it formatting, so that you can post a template or some random code.
EXAMPLE:
Code:
[i]This will give italics to my text if copy/pasted![/i]
URL tag (the globe with a peice of paper next to it): This tag allows for text links. You do not use quotations, you simply put an equal sign and then the link in the first bracket, and then your text in the center of both tags. This is particularly helpful for linking your character's biography in your signature.
