Meridian, Washington is near of Forks, Washington where it faces the Pacific Ocean. Facing the south of Forks, about 4 hours away to be exact. The beaches are cold during the winter but the brave solders that are known, as the local surfers will throw themselves towards it. It is not that far of a drive (maybe 10 hours, 14- depending) of Seattle, Washington but it’s closer to Tacoma.
It’s an upcoming town, known for it’s fresh fishing; it’s granola like way of living. Although there is a Starbucks, a Wal-mart is kind of hard to find. Most people find it the perfect place to raise kids.
But don’t think it’s exactly ‘small town’. Meridian is known for it’s posh record shops (locally known Pet Sounds which has been around for years) and the up and coming cleverly known ‘The Record Shop’. Jitterbug the local coffee shop that rivals Starbucks- for if you’re in Washington, there has to be one. It holds a variety of shops, mostly locally owned. The community as a whole stands firm and very apart of Washington. But as any up and coming town it’s had a boom of youngsters, either moving across the country to discover the place or born and rose near or in Meridian.
Some reasons for Washington not having state taxes taken out of checks, for better education system and public health-care. Other can be because it accepts everyone or any background or culture.
It’s one of those places that if you wanted to reinvent yourself or discover who you are, it’s the place to come.

Meridian offers you to play in an almost reality based role-play. Meridian of course if a fiction made town on the west coast in the state of Washington. It’s supposed to give you a somewhat ‘small town feel’ without it being a small town. As if grows we hope to get more characters into the community besides the young high school students.
We believe in original characters. By that we don’t mean you make a character with mind-reading powers or is a super model that got pregnant at 16 but still has a soaring career still.
What want to see is original characters that will grow in time, and develop as things and life happens. Most of our roleplayers are laid back and nice and if a conflict has happened the admin/mods have no trouble trying to help out.
Things we do not want to see-
A clutter of pregnant teenagers- there are many high-school based roleplays out there. I am sure they are willing to offer you with the experience of playing a young mother. But in this roleplay if you are going to play a pregnant character you will have to ask a mod and the mods themselves will discuss it.
If you do not wait for approved of such and play out the character is pregnant, Amy will play God and put a miscarriage on your character.
Complaints of your character having no friends when you play them in an antisocial manner,
Playing them as an antisocial person will only lead them to not have friends.
If fights are done and neither player has decided on a winner, call in a mod to mod the thread. Not all fights are won and sometimes a nerd can use his brain to win over the jock.
We are now looking to balance the amount of boy characters with the girls. Also, do not force anyone to be in a ‘couple’ with you. It’s annoying and rude. The roleplay isn’t about hooking up… even if they are horny teenagers.
